Rhianon R. Liu is the granddaughter of Libra Foundation's founder, Betty Noyce. Rhianon grew up in Massachusetts and graduated with a degree in Human Biology from Stanford University and an M.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She did her residency in family medicine and fellowship in integrative medicine at Sutter Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency in Santa Rosa, California, followed by palliative care fellowship at University of San Diego, California. She works as a palliative care physician at MaineHealth, where she is the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program Director.
She also serves on the boards of the Irving Foundation and the Minga Foundation. She joined Libra as a Trustee in 2025.
Rhianon lives in Portland, Maine, with her husband and two young children.
