After 15 years of providing grants to entrepreneurs in Maine, Libra Future Fund has determined that 2020 will be its final year of operations. Many other organizations in Maine have since recognized the importance of supporting Maine's startup ecosystem, which continues to grow and prosper.
Since its founding in 2005, Libra Future Fund has supported nearly 100 small businesses in Maine and provided almost $500,000 in grants to assist with startup costs and business development. Many of those startups have developed into successful businesses that continue employ dozens of people and take active roles in the Maine community. Examples of successful Libra Future Fund-supported businesses are iBec Creative, Bixby and Co., and Flowfold.
The Board of Libra Future Fund is appreciative of the many creative entrepreneurs across the State of Maine and their many contributions to Maine's economy and community.
